Good morning! There is a clean blanket of freshly-fallen snow today. It does a great job of covering the ugly, dirty stuff of the last few days. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could blanket ourselves in fresh snow and start over? Well, actually you can. You can start over with your life. As humans, we have that choice.
We can make decisions to
choose well,
grow our brains,
be healthy,
delete toxic relationships,
and pursue our dreams.
Yes, we can!
It’s not easy, really. But if it’s important enough to you, you can. Take those baby steps that become a great path for you. Start that adventure of becoming the person you want to be. I know it works, because I’ve done just that. Here’s to YOU and becoming new. Love and hugs!

These are my stories—my life. I try to write honestly, raw, and from my heart. I try to tell all the parts—the good, the hard, the tough, the hopeful, and the emotional.
But most importantly, I am here to be found by you. I am open-hearted, and I won’t hide.
When I share my story, my words, and my experiences you may see yourself in them.
I make myself vulnerable, hoping that you might learn and heal.
We all need healing. The world can be cruel. Sometimes life can break us.
But there is joy and hope to be found. I pray that I may lead you to the One who can give them to us.
So, who am I?
*I’m an educator at heart–it’s in my blood.
*I’m a highly emotional person–I identify that as “passion”.
*I’m a late-life mom to two amazing and beautiful (adopted) children who have physical, mental, and psychological differences from “typical” children.
*I’ve lived a lot. I’ve learned a lot. And I’ve healed a lot.
I hope you will join me in my quest to live for God, to live fully, and to spread truth!

Mimi,
This is so true, I think sometimes half the problem is perhaps we don’t always no what or who we want to be exactly and we just have to trust that with small steps and bravery we are heading exactly where it is we are meant to go!
Much love, Loreena

Yes, Loreena, I love your word “bravery”. “Brave Magic” is my phrase, not because I necessarily believe in magic per se, but because as we bravely step forward into each little step along our path where we are supposed to go, somehow, some way, it seems as if magic happens (but in reality is a lot of hard work!), and we are there…embracing our newness, beginning fresh!
